Hanovertown Farm

Hanovertown Farm is located in Mechanicsville and was bought by George Rice’s grandfather in the 1900’s. George’s father then bought it from his grandfather. George is the 3rd generation to farm the land with dozens of nieces and nephews of the 4th generation helping out today. The Hanovertown site is on the registry of Historic Places and has been growing watermelons since colonial times.
